OutSec was founded by Richard and Vanessa Phillips in 2002 with a core purpose: to find a better, smarter way to work. There was a supply of highly skilled British secretaries and typists who wanted to work from home. There was demand from UK companies who wished to outsource their non-essential typing. There was a new form of voice-recording using digital technology. And there was Broadband... from these elements OutSec was forged and it found a place in a new industry - Digital Dictation Outsourcing.

By using the best of British secretaries and allying them with the latest advances in communications technology, OutSec provides transcription services that increase flexibility, improve productivity and reduce costs for our clients. It is a virtuous circle where, unusually, all participants benefit. OutSec secretaries and PAs are able to operate on their own terms with an improved work/leisure balance and clients gain from being able to access superior quality staff on flexible outsourced terms.

 

We offer a full range of integrated transcription services for clients in the property, medical, legal, inventory financial and interview sectors. Clients work with a single point-of-contact and all work is processed within the UK if required but access is provided to a global database of highly experienced UK secretaries. OutSec is committed to delivering high quality work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, thereby providing a smart solution to employment, recruitment and staff retainment issues.

OutSec has won numerous awards in the last few years both for its technology and new approach to teleworking (including achieving Investors in People status in record time) but we never rest on our laurels and are always looking at how to do things better, quicker or more efficiently. We understand the dynamics of the marketplace and realise that the pace of development in new technologies will constantly throw up new challenges. We also believe that there is (and hopefully always will be) a place in business for high-quality human secretarial skills.
