Home Reporter software packages are available from Andrew Dyke Associates. Prices start from just £125 plus VAT. The software enables the RICS HomeBuyer Report to be wordprocessed.
This software is licensed by RICS. OutSec works with Andrew Dyke to offer a seamless integration of dictation, typing and document production.
Your OutSec secretary will be given the same HomeReporter licence details at no extra cost.
Home Reporter 2009 (Word 2000 onwards):
is totally flexible - enter as much or as little text in each element as you like. You never have to use continuation pages.
populates the summary section C automatically.
comes fully customised for your practice. The multi surveyor version allows a choice of surveyor and, where necessary, of office address.
uses Microsoft Word - you do not have to learn a new wordprocessing system.
can be used with Word's AutoText feature to store standard phrases and paragraphs.
produces reports that can be emailed (although we recommend you convert them to PDF format first).

A Building Survey Report template is in the course of development and should ready by the end of the summer. Software to produce the new RICS Condition Reports will be available as soon as RICS release the format.

Home Reporter Plus (Word 2003 onwards):
comprises an aide memoir to assist you in including what you have inspected and recorded.
ensures a level of consistency but not content - important when acting for a client more than once and where there are several surveyors producing surveys for the same firm.
is capable of constant amendment to suit your style and preferences, and the property, so that two reports do not appear identical due to blandness or brevity.
allows you judge how much or how little text is included in your report.
enables you to add your own favourite paragraphs to suit your circumstances.
allows you to control your finished report which is stored on your local computer system (not on line).
