Current Status: All systems functioning.
RECENT HISTORY:
Any user of Windows Vista should upgrade their Java version to Java 6. Currently you can get it at the following URL http://java.sun.com/javase/6/ and when it is officially released it will be available at http://www.java.com. Most issues are limited to GUI related glitches. However when running IE 7 on Vista with Java 1.4.x or Java 1.5.xyou may also experience inability to download files. This problem does not exist when running Firefox browser. In addition, Vista has made considerable changes to security, and no longer allows Java applets to save files in folders such as C:\ or other system folders. This does not seem to be an issue with Firefox. If anyone experiences further issues with Windows Vista FileManager we would greatly appreciate your feedback.16 September 2007
FileManager will be undergoing a scheduled upgrade this weekend. There will be no access between 9pm GMT Saturday 15th September and 4am GMT Sunday 16th September.
02 May 2007

15 August 2006
A serious power outage at our server location in Kent on 15th August caused a 3 hour loss of service to the FileManager program between 3pm and 6pm. This was a situation outside
of our control and the back-up program was also affected. We apologise for this. The problem has now been rectified and should not occur again. Emails were not affected during
this period.
28-30 June 2006
There have been problems with the OutSec mail server which has resulted in certain incoming emails not being delivered. An upgrade in planned for the weekend 1st and 2nd July
which will rectify the problem.
27-28 April 2006
Clients and typists may have experienced problems with access to the OutSec website and FileManager from 10.30am 27/4/06 to 9am 28/04/06. This was due to a major power failure
with an internet service provider which affected the outsec.co.uk domain name - emails were also disrupted. The operation of FileManager was unaffected and access could still
be acheived by routing through other means. Steps are being taken to ensure that this does not happen again.
2005
A major upgrade of the FileManager program was completed on Saturday 28th October 2005. This iwas due to unprecedented growth demand for OutSec services. Some old files were sent back to clients again - please ignore these. We apologise for any confusion caused.
