OutSec.co.uk is a British online transcription service providing access to a global database of highly experienced teleworker secretaries and typists. It has been operating since 1999 and is now the UK’s leading outsourced typing service. It has specialist departments covering legal, medical, property, surveying, land management, estate agency, interviews, inventory and financial and forensic accounting professions.
OutSec utilises the services of a new business phenomenon: the teleworker. There are a large number of highly-skilled and experienced British typists and secretaries located in the UK and abroad who now wish to work from home. There are also UK corporate clients who do not want a full-time secretary; or cannot find a decent reliable typist locally; or wish that their employees were not typing; or have run out of office space. OutSec places the client and teleworker together using our own clever award-winning FileManager technology thereby making full use of the internet in a safe secure manner.
Digital dictated sound files are submitted direct by the client to their own secure page on the OutSec website. Work is then transcribed into their own templated documents or direct into an internal document management system by a named secretary trained in the specific requirements of the client and then returned to the password-protected page for collection by author or secretary. FileManager eliminates the need for email and is a reliable form of file transfer. Work is processed in real-time. OutSec offers a realistic flexible outsourced alternative to the fixed cost of in-house typing.
