Easy communication in sales and marketing is crucial. We have all had sales reps on the phone talking in a know-it-all tone which serves only to make us wish we had never accepted the call! Better still is to ask three or four leading questions that will cause the buyer to give YOU information rather than the other way round.
For instance a question such as “do you like baked beans?” is more effective than “can I sell you a dozen tins of baked beans?”
Its a bit like ‘smell the coffee’ before it has arrived!
SEO too LOVE question-marks. Pro-activity is highly rated by Google – searching, probing, problem solving are better tools than dull monotonous product information spiel. Sure you need to get key points across but NEVER labour the point, make it bold, quick and catch you in the eye speak. The object, after all, is to grab the person’s attention, keep their attention and finally persuade [subtlety] them to buy-in to your product.

And to make life easier there are now a variety of plug-ins designed to check your work – a bit like going back to school but when your smiley face turns from red [bad SEO] to green [good SEO] believe you me you feel as if you have come top of the class!
