Typist Application

If you would like to provide typing services to OutSec, please complete our Typist Application Form below.

Before proceeding, please make sure you have checked the OutSec Typist FAQs and Vacancies pages.

Successful Applicants will be contacted and invited to participate in further assessments.

NOTE: We regret that OutSec are unable to contact unsuccessful applicants.

  • AVAILABILITY

    Please specify if your availability is CURRENT or PROPOSED. Preference will be given to those typists who already have transcription equipment and who have a minimum availability of 4 hours per day during normal UK office hours. We are currently not taking on typists for evening or weekend work as demand for this is rare.
  • (this will not prevent you from receiving work from OutSec).

    Do you already have digital transcription equipment? If so, please provide the following details:

  • SPECIALIST TYPING EXPERIENCE

  • Specialist areas of expertise i.e. legal (family law, personal injury); medical (orthopaedic, private practice); interview (police, symposiums) etc.

  • ACCENTS/LANGUAGE

    Please list the accents and languages with which you are familiar. This will help us to allocate certain work to you. Please think carefully, for example if you learnt Spanish as a child you will, naturally, be more familiar with English spoken with a Spanish accent.
